Hello All,

I received this email today:

"in search of home for chickens.....2 giant blacks, 1 bantam, 2 light Brahmas. They were born in April and the guy is trying to give them to (our church) to slaughter for food.....I am trying to subvert that plan."

Any room anyone for a few or all? Please let me know @lobelia66@yahoo.com I think we only have 24 hrs or so.

Love your coop!!  Along the lines of a coop tour, the Cleveland Botanical Garden has a "flock to the garden" exhibit with bird houses by local architects.  Starts June 10th.

This is the cop we just finished building for our first brood. The girls seems to be really enjoying the bigger space. Most of the wood is from a couple Sassafras trees we cut down to clear a space for our new market garden. Our Amish friend recommended we use Sassafras because it is a natural deterrent for rodents and snakes...we'll keep you posted on weather or not that theory hold up ;)  Does anyone know of a coop tour going on this summer?

The coop looks great so far!  I like the style.

Thought everyone might like to see the coop progress.  We would be further if it would stop raining.  Maybe this weekend.  :)

Hi!  Any suggestions as to what kind and how big a compost bin should be?  I have 7 chickens.

Thanks!

Tractor Supply Corp. (TSC)  has several locations in N.E. Ohio. Amazon.com has what you need with free delivery too. Maybe not the straw though.
