Ohioans for Humane Farms

Ohioans for Humane Farms is spearheading a new, citizen-backed ballot initiative to prevent some of the cruelest factory farming practices in Ohio. The measure will require the Ohio Livestock Care Standards Board to adopt certain minimum standards that will prevent animal cruelty, improve health and food safety, support family farms and safeguard the environment throughout the state of Ohio. For more information, please visit www.ohiohumane.com. Thanks!

Hi Kim, just got yuour message. I am not on line as much with the season being what it is. right now, i think that we have enough people picking up, but i'll get back to you once I hear from the current composters. As far as builder s go, i know a few who are up to their ears in work- also due to the season. The garden looks great btw.

Hi Good Earth - Sorry for the delay in responding. Just saw your post now. We just started Fruit Share last June 2008. We have picked from Cleveland Heights on the east side to the West Blvd area on the west and Detroit Shoreway and Tremont in between. Very loosely organized operation. We'll return to the trees we picked from last year - mostly in DS and Tremont. Hope you will join us. We'll be at the Gypsy Bean at 10 am tomorrow. I will be the person with the yellow mittens on!

Hi Kim,
the Gordon Square Farmers' Market (formerly Ward 17 Farmers' Market) is going into its second year. We are open to new vendors as we are still a small market. However, last year was a positive experience for all involved. I'm excited to hear about a new garden so close by. I will let our customers/email list know about your new garden. Happy (almost) spring!
Josh
