Jeffrey Spangler replied to Lorrie Rice's discussion windows for coop in the group Chicken keepers
"Try calling a patio enclosure manufacturer or installer in your area. They sometimes have a small selection of either custom or exchanged windows that they keep on hand in the hopes of reuse.  Many will be insulated or triple pane, with either…"

Profile Information

Your business, organization or project:
Dharmish Farms Heritage Breed Preservation Project
Tell us about yourself:
I am an aspiring farmer who gave up his small farm in Arizona (where there is no water and too much sun) to move his family back to Ohio, the land of my birth, to start again. So far, we have had little or no luck finding a place to farm, but I hold out hope for the future. As per our business plan, we would like to breed heritage breed chickens. We are also looking into community outreach and assisting the 'under-served.'
What gifts can you give to Cleveland's local food community?
Knowledge, sweat and, eventually, chickens and eggs.
What knowledge and practices do you want to learn?
USDA approved butchering, sustainable agriculture, urban reclamation.
What about local food makes you most excited?
That we have the soil, the community, and the ordinances to become the shining green jewel of the Midwest!
