Profile Information

Tell us about yourself:
Just starting out on 3 acres. Over the next year we hope to establish many blueberry and raspberry bushes, black walnut, chestnut and american plum trees. In the process of starting an edible understory in our surrounding forested area, and also incorpating many bee friendly plants. Will be keeping bees as of spring 2011, and maybe (big maybe) 2 dairy goats. Currently have a small flock of chickens.
What gifts can you give to Cleveland's local food community?
Can provide healthy mixed breed chickens (as straight run chicks) to locals wanting to start out with chickens
What knowledge and practices do you want to learn?
Would love to meet other beekeepers and hobbie farmers in the Chardon area
What about local food makes you most excited?
finding out about local markets, vendors, and trading info and ideas on keeping food local!
